DESCRIPTION:Abstract Watercolor Workshop\nIf you’ve wanted to take an abstract watercolor workshop now’s the time!\nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn a process to enable you to create an abstract watercolor by design.  You’ll learn about gridding\, about white space and its importance\, you’ll develop several ways to create texture and the importance of line.  I’ll be discussing many of the elements and principles of design including value\, texture\, line and shape along with repetition with variety\, and conflict (large vs. small\, smooth vs rough) and Dominance (geometric vs. curvilinear) and cool vs. warm and how to apply them in a painting.

DESCRIPTION:We will carpool up Joplin and take in the shows so if you can drive a vehicle for us that would be great. We’ll meet at the Wishing Springs Gallery in Bella Vista at 10:00 am Friday morning. We check out the art at Wishing Springs first and then head to Joplin for a late lunch at the Red Onion. We are looking into other things to do that afternoon (other exhibits that we can see). DESCRIPTION:Bring whatever artwork you’re working on or start something new. We are setting up tables in the big room or bring your easels and come paint or work with us. We will all work together for the evening and visit amongst ourselves. You can discuss what you are working on and find inspiration and support in the group setting. We’ll have some finger foods and and good friends. \nThis is an event that you can mark on your calendar – the 4th Tuesday every month is Social Paint Night.
