Stacy Spangler

Stacy Spangler is a self-taught mixed media artist and instructor in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She has a love for creating whimsical, colorful art with lots of texture and layers. She uses her hands, brushes and a palette knife to build up multiple layers of paint, papers and acrylic medium, resulting in a heavy distressed texture. Her playful style has been greatly influenced by over a decade of teaching art to children. As a self-taught artist, she has a passion for encouraging others to grow in their artistic ability, embrace their own style, and use their creative talents to bring more joy into the world and intentionally serve and glorify Jesus. She sells her art online and in retail boutiques and galleries in the South. Stacy currently teaches mixed media at workshops and retreats around the country, as well as through online courses. Stacy and her husband, Shannon, have three adult daughters and a grandson. In her spare time she loves hiking and biking, calling the Hogs, reading, art journaling, attending sporting events, Bible study and entertaining friends and family.
