David Rios

David Rios, a 17-year-old artist as of 2025, has dedicated a decade to visual art, beginning with childhood creative pursuits alongside his mother. A student at Thaden School, he has explored various artistic disciplines, demonstrating a particular affinity for sculptural ceramics while continuing to incorporate acrylics into his work. Rios draws inspiration from nature and life experiences, utilizing color and shape for emotional expression. His notable achievements include securing 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place in the Arkansas Young Artist Association (AYAA) competition, and a 1st place award with a $1,000 prize from the Arkansas Artist Association (AAA) competition. He also received an honorable mention in the Scholastic competition for the heartland region and was named Artist of the Year at Thaden School. Rios is recognized for his rapid acquisition of new art methods and mediums.
