New Educational Opportunity:
Ever wish you had a coach to give you feedback on your work? Beginning September 3, ANA will offer Wednesday Studio, a coaching/tutorial class held alternate Wednesdays at the ANA Studio from 1:00 to 4:00. Taught by ANA Gallery Artists and other professionals, the sessions offer opportunities for feedback, inspiration, and strategies for growth as participants work.
Mini-lessons and demonstrations will be offered based on individual needs. What to bring: completed artwork, artwork in progress, materials for new pieces, personal art supplies. Come for as many sessions as you like. Check the website for dates and coaches.
October 1: Gerald “Scout” Hatley – Watercolor
Creating Convincing Water Features in Watercolor
A short demonstration of useful techniques in depicting this difficult feature in your paintings. Water can be challenging as its nature can be reflective, transparent, colorful, and even violent at times. But, it’s fun to use in your paintings and with practice some basic fundamentals will help you accomplish the task.
