Evelyn Elizabeth Jorgenson

Evelyn Jorgenson works primarily in acrylic, collage and watercolor. She is influenced by nature and the many vibrant colors and shapes that appear in the natural environment. She has a desire not to simply copy images in nature, but to invite viewers to apply their own thoughts and memories in a visual dialog with the artwork. Her collages often include bits of poetry to encourage thoughtful interaction with the artwork. Evelyn seeks to develop and encourage a sense of wonder, inquisitive thought and a joyful appreciation of the natural world.
