Rick Baber

Rick Baber, digital artist – I am so envious and respectful of the talent of painters. If I could paint, that’s what I’d do. But, alas… While many painters strive to make their work look like photographs, I do the opposite. Using an old version of Photoshop and a drawing pad, I try to make my photos look like paintings, and sketches. As a semi-professional photographer in Springdale, since 1984, I have plenty of images to work with – and acquire more every day. In the end, I develop canvas prints in every style from realistic to abstract & surreal. Sometimes, the finished product doesn’t even resemble the original photograph. While my work has been purchased and displayed in homes and businesses all over the USA – and even a hotel and a City Hall – I, like every artist, I presume, won’t be satisfied until it’s all hanging somewhere. It’s a “need thing.” So, with apologies to real painters, I’m thankful for this opportunity to share my art!
