My resonance with Encaustic Art/Photography has to do with the way beeswax adds a dimension of luminosity to the picture, creating a sense of timelesness. The beeswax also seems to accentuate the mid-distance–that space between the subject (I) and the object (it)–a space that is always there but rarely noticed. It just tickles my heart. The pictures begin with original photographs or images which are then altered by fusing multiple layers of beeswax and oil pigment stick. se of fluidity and timelesness
