Zeek Taylor
Zeek Taylor is a painter who works in acrylic and watercolor. He is recipient of the Arkansas Governor’s Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement. In 2018 he received the “Idle Class” magazine Black Apple “Legacy Award.” His artwork has been displayed in the Arkansas Arts Center: three times in the prestigious Delta Exhibition, and two times in the International Toys Designed by Artists Exhibition. Zeek’s paintings have hung in the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, and he has received several “Best of Show” awards. Besides his career as a visual artist, he is the author of four books. A native Arkansan, Zeek lives and maintains a studio in Eureka Springs.
I’m driven to create with the goal to bring joy and beauty to a troubled world. I paint with greater concern for style over realism with a focus on pattern and color theory. The one rule that I adhere to is “break the rules,”
