ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Pat Sweeden

Arts and crafts have been in Pat’s background all of her life – from making candles with her brother in the 60’s, macrame and tole painting in the 70’s, creating door wreaths, knitting, crochet and hand quilting through the years. She has spent time drawing with pencil, pen and ink and scratchboard.

The joy of flower painting developed upon discovery of watercolor in the 90’s through subject-matter books and through encouragement from a mentor moving into acrylics and oils. Today Pat paints a variety of subjects from animals, statues, fruits and hearts, but is best known for her photorealistic flowers. She has received numerous awards for her art and is currently one of the fourteen award-winning artists in the ANA Gallery in Rogers. She is also one of 45 artisans at Wishing Springs Gallery in Bella Vista and Third Art Collective Gallery in Grove, OK. Pat recently moved to Springdale.
