Plein-air painting during the Wishing Spring’s Arts and Crafts Festival

The members of ANA are invited to paint plein-air during the Wishing Spring’s Arts and Crafts Festival. You can setup anywhere you would like to capture elements of the Festival and paint Oct 17-19, 2024 from 9am-5pm each day. It would be great if a few artists could be present each day of festival.
I think having artists actively painting on the grounds give the Festival an appeal that other festivals do not have. Gerald Hatley set up last Oct 2023 and folks were quite interested in watching him paint.
Additionally if ANA would like to setup a tent as a “base tent” for supplies, rest spot, store items, food, etc on the festival grounds, that would be fine but please let me know if you plan to do this so that I may note on festival map.
I would suggest having at least 1 artist in the group in the tent and painting as a demo, then taking turns perhaps hourly while the rest are on festival grounds. Please have signage, brochures available about your group. Additionally if you wear name tags designating your group that will be an added advertisement. Carry business cards while painting if you have them.
If you happen to carry some prints to sell, the sale should be arranged between you and the customer. You could then make a donation to the scholarship fund from a percentage of your sale. It is your responsibility to report sales to local and state agencies, not the Festival.
Food trucks on the grounds too!
