I’ve created a new class in watercolor that I think most people who paint still life objects will greatly appreciate and enjoy. We’ll create a more stylized abstract approach to our paintings plus add  a very colorful approach to the overall painting.  No stress, no errors, no fuss, just good approaches as well as useful techniques that can apply to painting not only still life, florals and etc. but just about anything else that you might like to “mix up”.

Materials List

  • 1 sheet of 300 watercolor paper (full or half sheet)
  • Watercolors and “wells around” palette; preferably 5-7 colors you favor.
  • Assorted brushes. 1 1/2” or 2” flat along with assorted rounds and flats
  • Water bucket. You know, the large yogurt or cottage cheese variety.
  • Paper towels
  • An apron to keep your clothing clean.
  • Salt and Alcohol
  • H pencil
  • Rigger or Liner Brush
  • A soft sponge
  • Anything else you paint with that could prove handy for your style of painting.
